floral design that promotes happiness

FAQ

Not at all. You select the floral arrangements and services that you need. We are just as happy to create a bridal bouquet and boutonnière for an intimate SF City Hall wedding as we are to assist you with design and décor for 150 guests at a winery.
Yes! You can start over on our Portfolio (link to Portfolio) where you will see some of our work. We also have current examples of our work on Instagram (link to IG). You can also check out our blog (link) which features great articles in addition to our work.
We certainly do love a road trip and have done weddings and events all over Northern California and the Lake Tahoe/Reno Area. We are on the preferred vendor list at SF City Hall (link to SF City Hall), worked at venues like Plump Jack Inn (link of Plump Jack Inn) and Edgewood (link to Edgewood) in South Lake Tahoe to wineries and private estates all throughout Northern California.

Absolutely! We also can drop off at your home and you can take it with you to your venue.  It’s more for personal flowers but if you have capacity to travel with centerpieces we can figure out a way to accommodate your request.

You will go through the meet and greet process and then you can reserve your date when you pay the retainer of 25-50%.

Due to Covid-19, we are not doing in person appointments at our studio, but we are more than welcome to meet you at your venue or another central location.  We definitely want to give you our full attention during a consultation.  We understand that everyone has other commitments so we try to be extremely flexible in accommodating our clients with scheduling. We are sure that we can find a time that will work for you.

At least six months before the wedding is ideal, but we can begin planning as much as 18 months in advance or as little as two weeks before the wedding date. Fall months (September and October), especially three-day weekends, are the most popular times for weddings in here in Northern California. We recommend beginning the process as early as possible to be sure that we have your date available. We do request that you have some of the basic details ironed out such as the date and venue before we meet in person.

Consultation appointments can be booked by phone or email. Our only requirement is that we speak with you directly or that you fill out our online inquiry form prior to scheduling so that we can get an idea of your needs to help us prepare and to make the best use of your time.

Most consultations can be finished in 45 minutes to an hour. Smaller events will take less time and large events may last up to two hours.

Anything that inspires you! You can always email us a link to your Pinterest board or photographs of flowers and designs that you like.  It doesn’t matter that the colors and flowers are not what you had in mind; we learn a lot from photos about what you like and don’t like.

If you live out of state or in another part of California, we are more than happy to speak with you over the phone or a zoom call.

First of all, we send out a questionnaire so we can get to know as much about you as possible and we will ask a lot of questions. We typically will ask about your color palette; what you would like the feeling for the ceremony and reception to be; what are your favorite flowers; anything that will guide us in designing your wedding or event. We like to look at the guest’s perspective on what will excite and stimulate them.  Don’t stress out if you don’t know anything about flowers, that’s why we are the experts!

After the consultation, we send you a first draft of the proposal a couple of days after that.  The proposal will show the total amount for our services in addition to what the retainer will be.  It’s really a snap shot of what your wedding flowers will look like.  If you are happy with the proposal the first time, that’s fabulous!  However, if you need to tweak it a little, we can do this too.

The beauty of living in California is that there really isn’t a season for any particular flower (with the exception of peonies).  We pride ourselves on picking “seasonal” flowers and greenery that will create the perfect look for your event.  If there is a flower that is your personal favorite or is of sentimental value, let us know.  We can work with incorporating them into the overall design. Have a brooch or a medal that was handed down to you? We love including personal touches to our designs.

We are happy to create a mockup of any element that you would like after the contract is signed. There is a cost for this service and we are more than welcome to discuss with you pricing.

Not only are we floral designers, we are also event design specialists. We are happy to help design all of the décor elements so that everything perfectly coordinates. These include tents, lighting, chairs, tables, candles and linens. We have some amazing partnerships with rental companies which will free you up to enjoy your day.  Since there is no charge for the coordination of the rentals, we do charge a design fee for wedding and event design.

Fill out our inquiry form to get the discussion started.  Since every event that we create is customized and we are in the middle of a flower shortage, it is difficult to quote specific prices. We can certainly give you a range in pricing based on your floral needs.

Since every couple and event is unique, we design custom proposals specifically for them as opposed to package options.

We do charge a delivery, setup, transfer and strike fees and they vary depending on the distance, timing and the complexity of each event.  We are pretty transparent and will always list the fees on the proposal.

Yes, we are happy to coordinate with any of your vendors. In particular, we will always ask for your contact person at the venue and your cake decorator if we are doing flowers for your cake. However, we do not offer day of coordination.  If you are looking to hire someone for day of coordination, we can certainly suggest some amazing planners/coordinators.
