Listen up, military brides! There is an amazing organization called Brides Across America that specializes in supporting the families (and especially the brides) of our American Troops. Their mission: giving to those in need and helping the troops that are fighting for our country receive the wedding that they deserve. Brides Across America has been recognized by Fox News, CNN, Good Morning America, and is also part of Oprah Winfrey’s Angel Network.
Not many brides and grooms serving the United States get to actualize their dream wedding - Brides Across America is there to help. There are about 50 designers that give away a select number of dresses annually to qualified military brides; among these designers are Alfred Angelo and Vera Wang. These gorgeous gowns are all valued anywhere between $500 to $3,000, and dress sizes range from size 4-22. All gowns are given away on a first-come, first-serve basis.
In order to qualify, you must be engaged and be planning your wedding within the next 18 months. You or your fiance must have been deployed within the last five years; or are on active duty and will be deployed to Afghanistan or another war zone territory. Proof of deployment is required.
If you are a military bride looking to relieve some of the financial burden of having a wedding, please take advantage of this excellent opportunity. If you would like to donate a wedding dress to this organization, Brides Across America will be happy to pass on your precious donation to a bride in need.
